1. Does the Director and Staff have a solid arts education and background?
The staff at Axis Dance Center are all well trained with an extensive background in dance education.  They have danced professionally and worked for several companies and studios.  There bios are available on our staff page, as well as at the studio.  We are a studio made up of dancers.   Your child will receive their training from a qualified instructor from the ages of 6 months through adult.  We will never have an instructor on staff who is inexperienced as a dancer.   We feel that you as clients have the right to the best training and service possible and not merely a babysitting service.

2. Does your facility have proper dance floors?
We have installed professionally sprung dance floors in both of our rooms.  We have a hard wood sprung floor downstairs, and a very lovely raised, sprung, marley floor upstairs.  These floors are designed to the O'MAra sprung floor specifications and are considered absolutely safe for a dancer's joints and help to reduce impact or damage that can be done by dancing on improper floors.

4. Do you speak only positively of other area studios?
Yes.  We encourage good sportsmanship among our dancers and the dancers from other studios as well.   We want to set an example for others to follow.  Gossip and rumors will not be tolerated on any level.  We strive to rise above this.

Yes we do.   We consider what the student wishes to achieve and the difficulty level they are on. The parent and the student must be in agreement to these lessons.

6. Are students required to compete?
No.  Only students on Axis Dance Force are required to compete.  On an occasion if a class shows alot of interest from both the parents and the students, they may be invited to join in a competition.  Participation would have to be agreed upon by all involved in those circumstances.

7. Are there any hidden costs?

8. Do you have special guest instructors?
Yes!!  We are very happy to keep a professional dancer, Shane Hall, on our dance staff as a guest instructor.  We also will from time to time have other instructors in on a special basis.  We are always striving to offer our students the very best in dance education.

9. Do you utilize teenagers as instructors?
No...we do not.  We do have apprentice helpers  that are from our team, however they will only assist in a class with a qualified, and well trained instructor.   Apprentice assistants are chosen by the instructor of the class.  Most classes will not have an assistant in them, but in the case of larger classes, it allows for more one on one time with each student, while keeping all the dancers working and dancing.

10. Can a parent observe classes?
We do have a viewing window in our downstairs classroom.  We are also in the process of installing closed circuit video in the upstairs class, for parents to be able to watch on a television downstairs.  At times our teachers will also be inviting parents into the rooms in order to watch the students.  We encourage involvement in the studio.
