Classes got off to a great start this week. The class schedule has been finalized for our year. We still have a few spots open in several classes, but not many!!! The adult class last night was alot of fun, and I hope all the adult students enjoy their night with Mel as much tomorrow night. Advanced hip hop on Monday nights has over 13 students, we have room for five more before the class is closed. Thursday night's begining hip hop has room for five more as well. Our master Ballet class has room for 3 more as well. We are still taking registration, so call now!!!

Just a quick note to remind everyone that classes start on Monday, August 25th. We are looking foward to seeing everyone! Also we want to make sure everyone is aware that we are closed on Sept. 1 for Labor Day, but classes will resume as usual on September 2. We are still taking registration at this time. Take advantage of our special discounts that are floating around Paulding County. If you bring in our flyer or mention our ads on the internet you register for FREE!! Make-up auditions are this Saturday morning at 10a.m. for Axis Dance Force. Stay At Home Moms....register for our Mommy and Me class before Sept. 1, and get $5.00 off your first month of tuition!! Remember we start our Baby Ballerinas at 18 months old. We are open this week in the mornings 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and in the evenings 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m. to take registration before classes start next week!!!

We are still accepting registration this week at Axis. We will be open all week 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 5:30-8 p.m. Classes will begin on Monday, August 25th! Bring a friend in to register with you and registration is FREE!! We will be listing our classes that are full at the end of the week.
The Master class with Shane was a huge success and we really appreciate all those who attended. Shane will be back sometime in the next two months to do some choreography for soloist and perhaps another class. Remember, Master classes at Axis are open to all dancers.

Summer Ends and It is time to D-A-N-C-E!!!!
Summer classes end tonight! We have had a blast, but now it is time to get ready for our dance year...the first one!!! The schedule online has been finalized and the Force Team schedule has been moved to the Force link. Ms. Jenny got settled into her new place over here in Georgia and is ready to get started. Open house is August the 16th from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. We will be registering students all day for classes!! Our season starts on August 25th.
We are also pleased to announce that Shane will be here running a Master Class on August 16th as well and it is open to any and all dancers age 6 and up. The class cost will be thirty dollars at the door or register early and the class will be 27.00. Email us or give us a call for more info. If we aren't here, leave a message and we will return your call ASAP!!! The class already has dancers from South Georgia, Alabama, and the Atlanta area reserving their spots now!
We are taking orders now for dance bags. We have two styles and sizes to choose from. There are pictures available on the announcement board at the studio. The backpack style is 25.00 and the duffle is 50.00. The bags will feature the Axis Dance Center Logos (male or female) as well as the students name. Checks, CC, or Cash are acceptable. Checks are to be made out to Axis Dance Center. We will also have our Axis Dance Shirts on sale during our Open House and Registration. Get them while they last!!

Summer camp is coming to an end this week for our 9 and up crew. All the parents are invited to join us at 4 p.m. tomorrow for a show!!! It will be a big suprise! Summer classes are ending next week, with next Thursday night being our last class. We are having a short break before the school schedule will begin and Fall classes start on August 25th. Check out our new ad in the Paulding Community Magazine! Classes for the Fall have already been filling up, so please feel free to call or come by for early registration. Our open house is on August the 16th, students will be able to meet their teachers and we will be taking regular registration at that time. Fall registration cut off will be on November 10th...this is so that we have time to order costumes for our Spring Recital. Pictures from the summer camps are posted on the AXIS MYSPACE, and we will add them on our picture page soon, so check back later this week.

REGISTRATION!!!!
August 16th we are hosting our open house and fall registration day. Come by and tour our facility, register for classes, meet the teachers, and have some refreshments. Classes will begin the week of August 25th, just enough time to get past the back to school craziness!!!! Classes have been filling up throughout our summer registration...all classes will be on a first come first serve basis. Come and dance with us!! Also we still have ahandful of spots left for next week's summer camp for 9 and up....we already have 13 dancers, so if you plan to be in classes next week, you need to let either Amy or Ellen know. Summer dancers: don't forget the class tomorrow night from5-7 p.m. See you then.

Happy 4th of July!!!
I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful time tomorrow. We are still having classes every Tuesday and Thursday night all through July for summer class students. We have incorporated a half day summer camp program for the little ones who have registered and all those who have called interested. July 14-18 is our first summer camp for younger children. During this first camp we will do a half day camp that will run from 9a.m.-12p.m. on Monday through Friday. The half day price is $50.00 for the week. Join us for dancing and craft projects (we will be making tutus, tiaras, dance bags, shirts, and more), bring a lunch....snacks will be provided! Call or come by the studio for more details.

We are open and running summer classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-8:00 p.m. We are also having summer dance camps and will be having snacks as well as crafts in July. Ever wonder what your dance teachers were like when they were growing up dancing? Now you can get an idea....we have posted videos of Shane, Jenny, Mel, and Amy in performances during their childhood. Yep...we dug up those old as dirt videos that are so embarassing (they had to come off VHS) and we put up for students to get a laugh at. We have also placed some of our choreography for other students (even some of you) on the Axis Dance Center Channel on Youtube as well. So grab some popcorn and get ready for a laugh or two!!
We also are happy to announce that our gift cards and certificates are now in. Don't know what to buy your grandchild, niece, or nephew, or even your own child....come get a gift card that is redeemable at Axis for apparel, class tuition, master classes, even apply toward an extra lesson or private!
We are still registering all summer for our camps, classes, and signing up members for the Sensational Kids program that starts in the fall! We are open each Tuesday and Thursday night for summer classes 5-7p.m. Classes are open to all and are 50.00 for the entire month or 10.00 a class to come and work out as you please! You do not need to be a member of the studio or the team. Come by and see us!

Welcome to June!! We are getting ready to start our summer dance camps and classes. Tomorrow night kicks everything off with classes from 5-7 p.m. All team members need to be sure to turn in their contracts this week. Be looking for the new youtube page for choreography by Ms. Jenny, Mr. Shane, Ms. Amy, and Ms. Mel. I will be posting a link when the sites are ready. Everyone needs to checkout our myspace page at www.myspace.com/axisdancecenter ,a lot of you are friends, but we are always looking for more. Also, a second round of competition team auditions will be held on August 16. This will be for new and incoming students, and also for those who were not able to make it due to vacation plans. Pay attention tomorrow night parents, so we can plan our Summer Dancefest....not to mention we are going to start dances this week for performances that are upcoming later this summer.

I am so glad that classes this May were enjoyable to everyone....so much so that we have decided to continue on with our classes through the summer. Every Tuesday and Thursday through June and July from 5-7 p.m. We will continue registration for summer camps and fall enrollment during these hours. I am going to try and schedule a Saturday Master Class with Shane also this month. Anyone interested in the class it will be 50.00 per student. The date will be announced as soon as Shane and I can nail down times and the Saturday. Call the stdio for more details. We will also be starting solo and duo choreography for the team members this summer. See Ms. Amy to set up your time slot. Enjoy the weekend and see you all Tuesday evening.

Have a good time with Ms. Melanie tonight, she will be teaching the Team May Class tonight and Ms. Amy will be back for Thursday night's class. I hope everyone enjoyed their last week of school and had a great start to their summer vacations. Don't forget to register for the June Dance Camp Week! We are hoping to be ale to add Shane on the list to teach that week. He is dancing with a new company here in Atlanta, so he might be around. We are adding a boys only Jazz, Hip Hop, and Tap Class to the schedule. We have had an overwhelming number of boys want to register for a guys only class....your wish is granted. We are now up to 8 boys for this class. We welcome more!! Be looking at the schedule page for added classes. We will also be adding the vocal class schedule in the next week, and are looking foward to adding our ballet only series also. Yesterday was a great start for our team class. We all had a great time and enjoyed getting to know our new team members. Stop by the studio for registration and class information.

Axis Dance Force classes start Tuesday, May 13 from 6-8. I look foward to seeing the new team members there. We will be having these conditioning classes through the month of May on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6-8 p.m. Make sure to bring a water bottle with you. We will also be taking any registration during these nights for anyone who is interested in getting in on the early registration specials. Mom's of babies and toddlers make sure to register for spot in our Mommy and Me classes before they fill up!! We are also looking at adding pilates classes to the fall schedule for those interested. Happy Mother's Day to all our Dance Moms!!!!! We had a great day yesterday and today. Saw lots of faces and were very pleased with our first round of auditions. The kids all did a great job and we are very pleased to have our new competition teams with 15 members. We will have a second round of auditions at a later date in the fall for new and incoming students!! The team lists will be posted after all contracts have been signed and turned in. A very big thank you goes out to Shane, Melanie, and Jenny for coming in yesterday and working so hard during auditions. We are also sending a huge thank you to Elia Moran for the beautiful artwork she donated to the studio, and to Ivy Sparks for all her help in the set up. More thank yous to Clay Cadenhead, Sam Henderson, Seth Henderson, & Connor Henderson for all their hard work in making the studio so beautiful...love all the renovations you guys!! We are so excited to get started. Can't wait for classes this week!

Are you a singer? Do you have a child who is a singer? Bring them in to meet Ms. Jenny this Saturday. She will be starting a song and dance performance group. This group will be heavily involved in Musical Theater and will also be doing their own performances throughout the year. Ms. Jenny won a record deal at the age of thirteen from BMI music and has won numerous awards and roles as a singer herself. She has been classically trained as a vocalist. Now she is ready to give other young singers their start. Auditions will be announced at a later date!
Welcome!!! Grand Opening!!
Axis Dance Center will hold our grand opening on May 10, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. We will have pre-registration for our fall classes as well as registraton for our summer camps. We are looking foward to seeing everyone there.
Summer Camps will be:
July 14-18 for ages 4-8. The classes will start at 9 a.m. and end at 5 p.m.
July 21-25 for ages 9 and up. The classes will start at 9 a.m. and end at 5 p.m.
All camps cost $100.00 for the week. Please bring a packed lunch for your child. Snacks will be provided. The camp will include crafts, and classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, and Hip Hop.
We will also be registering for a Dance 101 class for the month of May. This class will be on Friday afternoons from 5-7 p.m. for ages 9 and up. It will be a Contemporary Jazz, and Modern class. The class is only $35.00. It will be considered an introduction to dance for anyone interested in a trial session.
Company Auditions
Axis Dance Force Auditions will be held on May 10 from 5-7 p.m. and on Sunday May 11 from 2-4 p.m. We will also hold another round of auditions for incoming students in August to be announced at a later date. Please bring all dance shoes with you to the auditions. Good Luck!!
