All issues involving accounts must be addressed with either the Director or the Office Manager.
Parents if you have any questions regarding your child?s classes please bring them to the office manager.
ATTENDANCE
Regular attendance is essential to make progress in dance. When a student will not be attending class, please notify the studio by telephone and the instructor via e-mail.
Properly cancelled lessons may be made up in alternative classes. Students who are repeatedly absent will continually struggle to advance.
PLACEMENT STUDENTS WILL BE PLACED WITH RESPECT TO POTENTIAL AND PROFICIENCY.Not every dance school curriculum matches the level of technique provided at AXIS DANCE CENTER, Inc. We reserve the right to place students BY ABILITY AND NOT TOTAL NUMBER OF YEARS TAKEN. Students will not be placed in a friends class because of car pools, etc. unless each has the same level of ability. Ballet is the firm foundation of all dance and is essential; BALLET IS REQUIRED FOR COMPETITION STUDENTS.
Private Lessons & Solos
Solos, duets & trios are selected by the faculty at ADC when a student is ready. There is NO certain age or level at which a student is ready to perform a solo. A request to a specific instructor will be considered, but not necessarily granted.
Each faculty member will have a specific policy regarding solos.
All solos will be under the direction of your instructor in the particular form of dance chosen for the solo.
A solo, duo or trio dancer is responsible for learning and remembering ALL CHOREOGRAPHY taught during each private lesson. It is NOT the choreographer?s place to remember all choreography taught. Part of the solo process is to be disciplined to individually practice and perfect steps that have been choreographed for you. If the student is unsure that he/she will remember the choreography, then the parent is responsible for video taping the dance steps taught and/or paying for any additional choreography that has been forgotten.
Solo performance is a privilege and must be approved by the ADC director.
Recital Solo Fee is $60.00 and $30.00 for duo and trio.
Each Dancer/Parent is responsible for the costume.
Please discuss your costume design and costume option with your choreographer.
Private Lessons Fee begins at $50.00 per hour PLUS a $10.00 per hour Studio Rental fee for non Axis Dance Center students.
